Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) handed over various assistance to residents affected by flooding along the Brantas River, Jalan Muharto Gang V and Jalan Permadi, Polehan Village, Monday (8/11/2021).
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said, this disaster must be overcome together, shoulder to shoulder, and working together to help. This activity is part of a joint effort to alleviate the suffering experienced by residents.
"Normalization of houses and residents' needs must continue to be carried out, because currently residents have started to return to their respective homes," explained Sutiaji.
Sutiaji added that his party really wants residents to return to their homes immediately if the houses have been cleaned. Because in evacuation does not guarantee health and is psychologically uncomfortable.
Inventory of residents' needs is also being carried out continuously so that there is no accumulation of basic necessities, as is currently happening. The next focus is on medicines, stationery and children's school uniforms because many have been swept away. (cah/ram)
