Mayor of Malang Invites Posyandu Cadres to Take Action

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Although the Covid-19 pandemic is starting to subside, various elements of society should remain vigilant and continue to move in implementing strict health protocols, including posyandu cadres. Maintaining environmental cleanliness is one of the important things in it. So that all citizens should support this movement to maintain environmental cleanliness.

This was emphasized by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, in the Healthy City Locus Mentoring event at the Delima Posyandu Park on Jalan Ki Ageng Gribig Gang 2 RT 6 RW 3, Madyopuro Village, Kedungkandang District, Wednesday (18/11/2021). He said that before the pandemic, efforts to maintain cleanliness were very difficult and seemed neglected. However, now it is an obligation for every citizen.

According to Mayor Sutiaji, so far various things done by the posyandu cadres and other related elements have been very good. So this achievement must continue to be maintained and even improved. "Not only children's posyandu, other posyandu such as the elderly and adolescents must continue to optimize their existence and function, so that the healthy city launch program is even better," he added.

The various needs at the integrated health post, the number one person in the Malang City Government emphasized, will be met as optimally as possible and coordinated with the local village and sub-district heads. "In the Malang City Government's APBD, 5 percent is allocated for the village, and this includes allocations for integrated health posts," explained Sutiaji.

The bespectacled man also ordered the local village head and sub-district head to optimize the existence and function of this integrated health post, and to provide various facilities that are needed. "Posyandu is one of the driving forces in Malang City in maintaining cleanliness, handling and controlling the pandemic. If the existence of this integrated health post functions optimally, then other sectors will also improve, such as public health and in preventing the transmission of disease," explained Sutiaji.
