Population Administration Services in Malang City Reach National Target

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) held the signing of the Joint Memorandum of Understanding (NKB) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) for the National Target Achievement Team and Reporting on the Implementation of Population Administration for Malang City in 2021 in the Meeting Room, Malang City Hall, Thursday (9/12/2021).

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that humans are objects in development, targets of development, actors of development, and targets of development.

"The key word is data collection. A few days ago, the President said that administrative order is something that is easy to say but difficult to implement. If every citizen is orderly, then we will just have to see how the administration is implemented," said Sutiaji.

In 2023, he said, Malang City must be ready with single data access. This is in line with the movement of Indonesia aware of orderly population administration according to instructions from the Minister of Home Affairs. This means that what Malang City does will be in line with the policies of the central government.

"The one data movement will be successful if we always maintain orderly administration, especially population administration," he said.

Sutiaji also said that the signing of the NKB and PKS is a form of joint commitment to continue building public awareness to always be orderly in administration. One of the efforts that has been made is by collaborating with religious forums.

Based on existing data, as of December 8, 2021, electronic KTP recording has reached 96,75 percent, KIA ownership is 60,48 percent, child birth certificates are 95,35 percent, while marriage certificates, divorce certificates, and death certificates are 100 percent.

"The achievement of national targets and reporting on the implementation of population administration in Malang City has yielded results from August to November 2021," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Population and Civil Registration Service (Dispendukcapil) of Malang City Dra. Eny Hari Sutiarny, MM revealed that the purpose of this activity is to strengthen coordination, collaboration, and synchronization between agencies and stakeholders in population administration. In addition, this event is also an effort by the Malang City Dispendukcapil to achieve national targets.

"We have implemented outreach services to sub-districts and orphanages, socialization of population administration in accordance with the law, implementing the development and improvement of online service applications such as Siapel and also the use of WhatsApp. TP PKK Malang City is also very active in supporting the successful achievement of population administration in Malang City," he concluded.

Meanwhile, at this event, there were 11 institutions that signed the NKB and PKS, namely the Head of the Malang District Court, the Head of the Malang Religious Court, the Head of the Malang City Children's Social Home Communication Forum, the Head of the Buddhist Religious Leaders (Eng An Kiong Temple), the Head of the Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia of Malang City, the Head of the Ijen Cathedral Catholic Religious Leaders of Malang City, the Head of the Malang Gema Kasih Christian Religious Leaders of Malang City, the Head of the Malang Branch of the Indonesian Midwives Association.
