A similar statement was made by Malang Deputy Mayor Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko. The man who is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Malang City Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB), said that the Ministry of Religion has determined that 2022 is the year of tolerance.

Therefore, the man who is familiarly called Bung Edi, all parties must be self-aware and not easily provoked by issues that can divide the unity that has been formed strongly so far in Malang City. If harmony between citizens and religious communities and between groups is well maintained, then other sectors of life will move. Such as economy, education, social, culture and politics. This is one of the advantages of Malang City.

This harmony issue, he said, is the responsibility of all parties and not just on the shoulders of the government. "However, with strength and togetherness we are sure we can overcome all the problems that come. Therefore, let us close ranks for the sake of Malang City and even this nation to be better in the future," Bung Edi invited.

On the other hand, Head of Bakesbangpol Malang City Dra. Rinawati, MM hopes that this event can realize what was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang and his deputy. "We will continue to make maximum efforts to realize a dignified Malang City," he said. (say/ram)
