Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Various efforts have been made by the Malang City Social Service, Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (Dinsos P3AP2KB) to continue to reduce the divorce rate in Malang City.

In addition to collaborating with the Malang City Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, the Malang City Dinsos P3AP2KB also held a Mother's School program. This program is one of the mainstays that has been carried out by the Dinsos P3AP2KB. During 2021, a number of female figures were mobilized in the program.
These are some of the things conveyed by the Head of the Malang City Social Service, P3AP2KB, Dra. Penny Andriani, MM when met at the Malang City Hall, Wednesday (15/12/2021). According to her, the Mother School has proven to be very effective in reducing the divorce rate and early marriage in Malang City.
"The school, the woman in the hijab explained, targets pre-marital couples and married couples or post-marital couples. "Various materials are delivered such as how to form a harmonious family and how to educate children," Penny added.
The woman in hijab added, for premarital couples or prospective brides, the prospective husband must be at least 25 years old while the prospective wife must be 20 years old. If the age is less than that number, Penny explained, they must have approval from the Malang City Ministry of Religious Affairs Office.
He further said that for 2022, Sekolah Ibu will still be one of the priority programs. "We will continue to intensify Sekolah Ibu by collaborating with several parties, such as the Health Service and the Women and Children Protection Unit of the Malang City Police," he concluded. (say/ram)
