Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – A total of 25 finalists of the 2021 Dekranasda Fashion Competition competed fiercely to be the best. Previously, the Malang City Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Service (Diskopindag) had selected from 189 participants to 25 participants who became grand finalists and were displayed at the Kartini Building, Malang City, Wednesday (22/12/2021).

The participants of this competition displayed various types of works by designers from Malang City. The 25 grand finalists were Cindy Febriana from Malang State University, Afilia Nurul Sifa, Farda Nur Maulana, Nadia Atha Syakirah from Malang State Vocational School 3, Vivi Kurniawan from Malang State University, Audi Zakki Arisdi from Malang State Vocational School 3, Arfina Zulfa Azzahra from Malang State Vocational School 3, Wang Singley Viriya from Malang State Vocational School 3, Aiman Wijaya from Malang State University, Rhadinta Awwalidya from Malang State Vocational School 3.
Next, there are Tinka Carrisa from State Vocational School 3 Malang, Az-Zahra Nur Anisa from State University of Malang, Yudha Erfiana Furry, Helvica Muda Tilova from State Vocational School 3 Malang, Diva Aulia Putri, Shofianti Pratiwi from State University of Malang, Kidung Kinanti from State Vocational School 3 Malang, Humahira Naila Sakhi from State Vocational School 3 Malang, Aurelia Vika Anggun from State Vocational School 3 Malang, Yona Oktavianti, Yusnani Dwiana, Zahra Esya Adinda Ada from State Vocational School 3 Malang, Didan Alfin Ardiansyah from Kartika IV-I Vocational School Malang, Nabila Putri Amalia from State Vocational School 3 Malang, and Tasha Nur Luansa.
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji appreciated the hard work of Dekranasda Malang City in collaboration with Diskopindag Malang City. So that it can bring out the potential of Malang City residents in the fashion sector. According to him, in 2022 Malang City will become the world's fashion mecca.
"Malang City has been named Creative City Regency/City (KaTa) twice in a row, namely 2019 and 2020. This proves that the creativity of Malang City residents is extraordinary," said Mayor Sutiaji.
Therefore, he said, it is time for Dekranasda Malang City to explore the various potentials that exist in Malang City. The goal is to increase the per capita income of Malang City residents. According to him, the 'Salam Satu Jiwa' owned by arek Malang is not just a slogan. But the greeting can be translated that Malang City likes to work together with all parties in empowering its citizens.
"Even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Malang City can still rise with its various creative economies. Currently, the human development index (HDI) of Malang City has increased to 82,04 percent. This shows an increase from 2020 of 81,45 percent," he continued.
Meanwhile, Head of Diskopindag of Malang City Muhammad Sailendra, ST., MM said, this activity is a collaboration between Dekranasda of Malang City and Diskopindag of Malang City. The goal is to explore the potential of young people of Malang City in the fashion world.
"We would like to thank all parties, because this event is very popular with the people of Malang City. The proof is that there are 189 designers who participated in this competition, then we filtered it to become the grand finalists to 25 designers," said Sailendra.
Furthermore, he said, the 25 designers were given training to showcase their best clothes at the 2021 Dekranasda Fashion Competition. He hopes that with this competition, more Malang City residents will channel their creativity in the fashion world.
First place winner Cindy Febriana, second place winner Rhadinta Awwalidya, third place winner Farda Nur Maulana. Meanwhile, first place hope winner Humahira Naila Sakhi, second place hope winner Afilia Nurul Sifa, and third place hope winner Yudha Erfiana Furry. (ram)
