Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Supervising 18 districts, five cities and facilitating 296 companies in 2021, the East Java II Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kanwil DJBC) managed to collect state revenues of Rp51,3 trillion. This achievement was realized at Rp104,72 percent of the previously set target of Rp48,9 trillion.

This was conveyed by the Head of the East Java II DJBC Regional Office, Oentarto Wibowo in the year-end release event on Tuesday (21/12/2021) at his office, Jalan Raden Intan Number 3, Malang City. In addition, his party also carried out action with the issuance of 941 Proof of Action Letters (SBP).
The action consisted of 742 actions related to exciseable goods and 199 actions for non-exciseable goods. From these actions, Oentarto added, customs managed to secure potential state losses of Rp15,1 trillion with an estimated value of goods of Rp33,3 trillion.
"This step is a manifestation of the commitment of customs to protect the public from the circulation of illegal goods, as well as to encourage a number of legal business sectors of the community, especially those closely related to excise and customs," he continued.
Furthermore, Oentarto said that the action taken by customs is also to boost the national economic recovery program, especially in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic which has not yet ended. In this context, customs has also prepared a relaxation and convenience program, both procedural and fiscal, to boost export performance, so that in the future the economy will continue to grow significantly.
"The role of local government is very important in this case, such as in facilitating, facilitating licensing, facilitating location, providing facilities and helping cooperation. That's what I've heard from entrepreneurs so far. Local governments from the district/city to provincial levels should continue to support economic growth and industrial growth in East Java, especially Malang City," concluded Oentarto. (say/ram)
