Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – The Youth, Sports, and Tourism Agency (Disporapar) supports and facilitates the Malang U-12 Mayor's Cup which will be held on December 20-21, 2021 at the Gajayana Stadium in Malang City. The Malang Mayor's Cup will be attended by 18 teams from soccer schools (SSB) in various regions.
Head of Disporapar Malang City Dr. Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH., M.Si revealed, the U-12 football championship of the Malang Mayor's Cup lasted for two days and was attended by 18 teams. This competition is an effort by Malang City to support early age football development efforts.
"Through this championship, it is hoped that it can produce reliable soccer players from Malang City. Moreover, Malang City has been known for its soccer," said Ida, Tuesday (21/12/2021).
In addition, he said, with a competition like this will add skills to become a professional player. Because players from Malang City do not only play against teams from the Malang area, but against teams from various regions.
"Hopefully, football coaching in Malang City will continue to grow and there should be more championships like this. Of course, not only championships for young ages, but also championships for teenagers, namely U-14 and U-17," he continued.
The winner of the U-12 Malang Mayor's Cup this year is Diklat Persema U-12. The Diklat Persema U-12 team defeated the team from Surabaya Star Generation with a score of 1-0. (cah/ram)
