Mayor Sutiaji said that the teacher's job is not limited to teaching but also educating the next generation of the nation. There will be challenges faced, including one related to social problems. So according to him, now is the time for revolution, not evolution anymore. In answering these challenges, he said, it starts from education, because the identity and character of the nation are formed through education.

"Indonesia is a democratic country, so the teacher paradigm must be changed. As the elements of educators taught by Ki Hadjar Dewantara through exemplary and emotional approaches. Both elements are a combination of affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects," he explained.

Education, Sutiaji continued, is not only related to intellectual intelligence but also spiritual intelligence. Where this is part of the teacher's duties together with the government, such as building good habits so that they become part of the child's character.

Malang City Government with PGRI continues to strive to improve teacher welfare. One of them is by strengthening and increasing Malang City's income. If this commitment is strengthened, it can later be returned to teacher incentives. PGRI has the power to fight for the fate of teachers. With the hope that improving welfare is in line with the quality of performance.

"We build and strengthen the work ethic that bears fruit in the performance of all of us. So that the increase in welfare is also directly proportional to the quality of performance that is built well. So that it produces extraordinary talents. So this is where the teacher's job is, the challenge is difficult, it's okay but don't say you can't. Definitely capable, find a strategy," said Sutiaji.

Meanwhile, the Board of Trustees of the Malang City PGRI and Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office, Suwarjana, SE., MM, said that in the context of the 76th Anniversary of the PGRI and National Teachers' Day 2021, the PGRI has carried out various activities.
