Maintaining Security for Christmas and New Year 2022, Malang City Forkopimda Closes Ranks

Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – The National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City held a Coordination Meeting of the Integrated Team for Handling Social Conflict Disturbances and Facilitation of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) in December 2021 at Malang City Hall, Wednesday (22/12/2021). The purpose of this event is to secure the celebration of Christmas and New Year 2022.

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that this activity is a routine activity that is carried out. However, this time it was carried out on a larger scale than usual, because it was at the end of 2021 by discussing prominent events and how to anticipate them.

"Earlier, we conveyed the prominent events during December 2021 so that they can be a shared learning experience to improve handling," explained Sutiaji.

Forkopimda is currently continuing to think hard and coordinate to maintain security and comfort in Malang City. Moreover, soon Christians will celebrate Christmas and New Year. Therefore, their security and comfort must be ensured by the government.

"But in a pandemic situation there is no mobility, so there will be quota restrictions. I also emphasize that security is not solely the responsibility of the TNI and Polri. But security is the responsibility of all of us," he continued.

Meanwhile, Head of Bakesbangpol Malang City Dra. Rinawati, MM said, this coordination meeting is a follow-up to the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs (Permendagri) Number 42 of 2015 concerning the Implementation of Social Conflict Coordination. This is also an event to continue building cooperation with all elements of government, apparatus, and society.

"Through this event, it is hoped that good communication and coordination will be established to create a conducive atmosphere in Malang City," said Rinawati. (cah/ram)
