Malang, malangkota.go.id – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Transportation Agency is drawing vehicle license plates that have been parked electronically or e-parking in the Gajayana Stadium area of Malang City, Tuesday (28/12/2021). This drawing is carried out to improve and support electronic parking services in Malang City.

"We are holding this raffle to give appreciation to electronic parking customers in Malang City. Hopefully, the lucky ones in this raffle can be a good example of parking," said Head of the Malang City Transportation Agency Heru Mulyono, S.IP., MT.
In this event, he said, the Transportation Agency gave a raffle prize in the form of bicycles to seven parking customers in the Gajayana Stadium area of Malang City. The lucky vehicle plates were N 1329 BT, N 2830 ABP, N 1680 BB, N 1699 DO, N 6392 ABC, N 1154 AA, and N 4595 BAQ.
"As a form of appreciation for this parking, the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD also donated one bicycle for parking customers. We distributed six bicycles, so in total there were seven bicycles that we gave," he continued.
This lottery, he continued, was chosen based on the vehicle license plates that have been recorded in the e-parking system owned by the Malang City Government. The handover of the lottery prizes will be carried out at the inauguration of the new e-parking location at the Kartini Building, Malang City Hospital, and the motorcycle area on Jalan Tenes. He hopes that parking services in Malang City will be more organized with the presence of the e-parking system.
"This e-parking, in addition to making it easier for officers, also avoids the presence of illegal parking attendants who are not from the Malang City Government. Because we know that in Malang City, one of the causes of the large number of illegal parking is due to the presence of parking attendants who are not under our supervision," he added.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, appreciated the steps taken by the Malang City Transportation Agency in fixing the parking problem in Malang City. So far, there have been many complaints from the public about parking problems. Both the existence of illegal parking attendants and an unfriendly service system.
"E-parking is a translation of Malang Smart City. Malang City Government strives to provide the best service to the community. No need to be complicated and long-winded anymore, we do everything smartly," said Sutiaji.
In addition to making it easier, he said, e-parking is also useful for saving leaking local revenue (PAD) and implementing transparency in the Malang City Government. The presence of e-parking is considered to be able to improve the parking system in Malang City. The acquisition of parking fees can later be seen directly online.
"This machine, for transparency and also I hope it can increase PAD Malang City by suppressing the leakage of regional income from parking potential," he concluded. (ram)
