Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The performance of the Malang City Police during 2021 is classified as productive and effective. Because it can reduce the number of criminal acts, from 1.251 cases in 2020 to 1.163 this year or a decrease of around 1,1 percent. Of the 1.251 cases, 678 cases were resolved and of the 1.163 cases, 994 cases were also resolved.
The statement was conveyed by the Malang City Police Chief, AKBP Budi Hermanto in the year-end release, Thursday (30/12/2021) Malang City Police Headquarters. One of the triggers for various criminal acts is dominated by the changing pattern of community activities from normal to limited.
The Kapolresta, who is familiarly called Buher, added that this was influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic. So that there were many cases of fraud, especially those related to supporting facilities for health protocols, namely during the procurement or shortage of masks or other health equipment.
However, Kapolresta Buher did not deny that other cases were still rampant, such as drug abuse, motorcycle theft, violent theft and aggravated theft. Therefore, in 2022, his party will continue to intensify various actions and prevention of criminal acts.
"During 2021, traffic violations due to non-compliance of drivers still often occurred. Such as not wearing a helmet, helmet straps not being tied, violating signs and using non-standard exhausts. So that the ranks of the traffic unit gave sanctions in the form of warnings and tickets," added Kapolresta Buher.
No less interesting, this year, Polresta Malang City also received an award related to excellent service from the Ministry of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB) and entered the top 15 public services pinned by Kemenpan RB and the Chief of Police. (say/ram)
