Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – On Friday (31/12/2021) evening, the Malang City Forkopimda ranks inspected several places that were indicated to be gathering places for the celebrations welcoming the beginning of 2022. Such as on Jalan Borobudur, Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Jalan Besar Ijen, and Alun-Alun Malang.

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji who led the group at the street food center on Jalan Soekarno Hatta appealed to residents to always wear masks when leaving the house. Several culinary visitors who were seen gathering were asked to keep their distance and asked whether they had received the vaccine injection or not.
Not only distributing masks, residents who were not wearing masks at that time, Mayor Sutiaji together with the Malang City Police Chief AKBP Budi Hermanto immediately put on masks. Forkopimda also reminded of the dangers of the Covid-19 attack, especially with the new Omicron mutation. So that the implementation of health protocols and vaccinations are the main keys in this case.
"Not only did we go around reviewing several points earlier, but our monitoring was also assigned to all security posts, down to each sub-district and village. Alhamdulillah, it was well monitored that there were no significant crowds. We see that more than 97 percent of public awareness to wear masks has been well established," added the number one person in the Malang City Government.
On New Year's Eve, the bespectacled man said, personnel from the Malang City Health Office and local health centers were also involved in conducting random swab tests at several restaurants and cafes. "The results of this inspection, overall, did not find any crowds or excessive New Year's Eve celebrations, so New Year's Eve was monitored as conducive," concluded Sutiaji. (say/ram)
