Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The presence of the Merdeka Public Service Mall (MPP) on the 3rd floor of Alun-Alun Malang Mall was welcomed by the public, Monday (3/1/2022). In this mall, there are 180 public services that can be directly accessed by Malang City residents.

One of the residents, Aminnudin, took care of the permits at the booth of the Manpower, Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service (Disnaker PMPTSP) of Malang City, admitted that he was happy to be able to take care of public services in the mall. According to him, public services like this provide convenience to Malang City residents in getting services from the government.
"I hope that the quality and facilities of the service that are already good can be maintained. So that excellent service can continue to be felt by the community. Currently I am taking care of the city transportation (angkot) route permit. The existence of this Public Service Mall is more pleasant and easier," said Aminnudin.
Moreover, it is located in the middle of the city, he said, so it is closer and easier to access. According to Aminnudin, because he is old, he feels it is difficult to take care of permits online if no one accompanies him. The existence of this service is very helpful.
In addition, Alfina, who is also taking care of the angkot route permit, admitted that she was still a little confused. Because before the existence of this Public Service Mall, she was used to taking care of permits at the Integrated Office, Jalan Mayjen Sungkono, Malang City. After taking care of the permit process directly at the Public Service Mall, she admitted that the service at the Public Service Mall was very helpful. Because at this Public Service Mall there are various services, both permits and non-permits that are provided in one place.

Diandra said the same thing. She took care of making an electronic Resident Identity Card (KTP) for the first time. Diandra admitted that before deciding to come to this Public Service Mall, she first looked for information on social media about the procedures and requirements for making an e-KTP.
"Before leaving here, I first browsed through the social media of the Malang City Population and Civil Registry Office. Then I saw information that making an ID card can be done at the Public Service Mall in the Malang City Square Mall. So I immediately went here. Besides the easy process, the location is also close," said Diandra.
Diandra assessed that the existence of this Public Service Mall can help the community, especially those who live far away. Through this one-stop service mall, Malang City residents do not need to go here and there because they can be taken care of in one place.
Meanwhile, Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said, Merdeka Public Service Mall is an implementation of the Malang City Government's (Pemkot) commitment in providing convenience in optimal public services to the community. As a starting point, Malang City Government combines all licensing and non-licensing services in a place that is physically and systemically representative. The goal is to encourage world-class prime services.
“Everyone has the right to receive good public services. Alun-Alun Malang Mall is a representative place. Later, it can synergize with various sectors in one activity that has added value. I hope this integration will encourage the simplification of the service process. So that it provides convenience for the community,” said Mayor Sutiaji when inaugurating the Merdeka Public Service Mall.
Currently, he said, there are 14 tenants with 180 services from various regional devices in the Malang City Government. For example, Dispendukcapil provides e-KTP recording services, damaged or lost Family Cards (KK), Child Identity Cards (KIA), and others. Disnaker PMPTSP provides 129 licensing and non-licensing services, the Regional Library and Archives Service serves new member registration, borrowing and returning books, playgrounds and reading corners.
"Disporapar provides co-working space, as well as other agencies starting from the Immigration Office serving passport applications and replacements, the Pratama Tax Service Office (KPP) providing tax services, BPJS Kesehatan, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Bank Jatim, Samsat providing vehicle tax payment services, PDAM, and BPR Tugu Artha Sejahtera," he concluded.
