Malang City Government Hands Over Land Grants to Three Religious Affairs Offices

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – For the umpteenth time, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) has handed over a grant in the form of land to those who are entitled to be managed properly. This time, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji symbolically handed over a land grant from the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) of Klojen, Lowokwaru, and Sukun Districts to the Malang City Ministry of Religion Office, Friday (21/1/2022).

This symbolic handover was held in the hall of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTS) Negeri 1 Malang, Jalan Bandung, Klojen District. Mayor Sutiaji said that so far the three buildings have been on land owned by the Malang City Government, so a handover must be carried out. "We hope that this program can be useful and for better utilization in the future," he added.

Until now, explained the bespectacled man, there are still many lands owned by the Malang City Government on which buildings stand for the benefit of the community, or offices, such as places of worship and schools. "Slowly and gradually, we will definitely carry out the handover after the documents or legality are complete and meet the requirements," said Sutiaji.

Furthermore, the number one person in the Malang City Government said that by carrying out the handover or grant of land, it will minimize and even prevent internal conflicts related to land status and disputes. "This land problem is very complicated, so all matters must be resolved thoroughly. This means that land status is important to prevent new problems from occurring," explained Sutiaji.

On the other hand, he said, this program is a form of concern from the Malang City Government for the parties. So that in the future it will continue to suppress the triggers of land problems. "In this case, of course we need the active role and participation of the relevant parties, so that everything runs well. For those who want to apply for land grants, we will definitely help as much as possible. As long as it is for the benefit of the people, God willing, the process is not difficult and does not take a long time," explained Sutiaji.

This program was welcomed positively by the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office of Malang City, Dr. Muhtar Hazawawi, M.Ag. According to him, this program is very good and will support the performance of the institution he leads.

"We really appreciate and thank the Mayor of Malang, because basically this program has been awaited," he said. (say/ram)
