Five Employees Positive for Covid-19, Malang Immigration Office Temporarily Closed

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – From January 31 to February 1, 2022, the Class 1 Immigration Office, Malang Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) located on Jalan Raden Panji Suroso, Number 4, Malang City, was closed. This was after five employees at the office tested positive for Covid-19 and people who needed services were advised to reschedule.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Immigration Information and Communication Technology Section of the Malang Immigration Office, Joko Widodo, Monday (31/1/2022). People who have received a service queue on January 31 and February 1, he said, through the application provided must reschedule and will be served on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

Likewise, for residents who have made payments related to immigration document processing, such as through M-passport, explained Joko, they will also be served to collect their documents on Wednesday, February 2.

The Malang Immigration Office also apologized profusely to all levels of society. Due to the temporary closure of the office and its services or perhaps for the inconvenience of all this.

In relation to this, the Immigration Office has also taken concrete steps so that the transmission of Covid-19 does not continue to spread. Such as for all employees to carry out activities or work from home while the service is closed.

"In addition, sterilization in all work spaces by spraying disinfectant and conducting tracking and conducting swab tests for all employees on February 2," explained Joko.

Meanwhile. Head of the Malang City Health Office, Dr. Husnul Muarif, confirmed that there were Immigration employees who tested positive for Covid-19. His party has coordinated intensively with Immigration in taking real steps, such as conducting tracking and implementing swab tests. (say/ram)
