Malang City Public Services Achieve High Compliance Level from Indonesian Ombudsman

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia presented the 2021 High Compliance predicate charter for Public Service to the Malang City Government (Pemkot) in Surabaya, Monday (31/1/2022). This charter was received directly by the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji from the Head of the Representative Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia for East Java Province Agus Muttaqin, SH.

"Thankfully, we have entered the green zone with a very good value. I hope that in the future, this value can continue to be improved and linear with implementation in the field," explained Mayor Sutiaji.

The High Compliance Predicate is the result of a survey conducted by the Indonesian Ombudsman on public services in all government agencies. The assessment variables include service standards, service information, complaint management, facilities and infrastructure, special services, public satisfaction assessment, vision and mission of service motto, attributes, integrated services, and recognition, all of which are elaborations of the mandate of Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services.

The survey sample conducted by the Indonesian Ombudsman in Malang City was taken from four regional apparatuses. Among them are the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), the Malang City Health Office (Dinkes), the Population and Civil Registration Office (Dispendukcapil), and the Malang City Manpower, Investment, Integrated One-Stop Service Office (Disnaker-PMPTSP). The total score is 87,29 or falls into the Green Zone category (High Compliance).

"Comparatively, this figure is the second highest in East Java for the city government category," said Sutiaji.

Mayor Sutiaji also conveyed, encouragement for each level to continue to improve and follow up on complaints and complaints from the public. "There will be implications from regional apparatuses that respond quickly in responding. I already have, which regional apparatuses respond quickly to complaints. Everything will have an impact on the performance and assessment of the regional apparatus concerned," he concluded. (ndu/ram)
