Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Dozens of children with disabilities (ADK) received basic therapy to improve their physical, psychological, and social potential at the Kedungkandang District Office, Malang City, Friday (28/1/2022).

This activity is part of the efforts of the Malang City Government (Pemkot), through the Social Service for Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (Dinsos-P3AP2KB) in providing better and closer disability services in order to realize a more inclusive Malang City.
Head of the P3AP2KB Social Service of Malang City Dra. Peni Indriani, MM revealed that her party will hold this activity routinely in each sub-district. "We schedule it once a month, the target is 40 participants per sub-district. We bring our instructors to the location, so that the children who take part in the therapy are closer," explained Peni.
The basic therapy services provided by the instructors of this activity are adjusted to the various disabilities that exist, such as physical/physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, blindness, deaf-mute disabilities, autism, hyperactivity, Down syndrome, and intellectual/mental disabilities.
"A number of locations have been prepared to facilitate therapy. There is the Husada Asih YPAC Malang Main Clinic for participants from the Blimbing District area, the Klojen, Lowokwaru, and Kedungkandang District halls for participants from the three districts, and Bakalan Krajan Village for participants from Sukun District," he continued.
The woman in hijab added that the Malang City Government in this activity cannot be separated from the collaboration of various parties who care about people with disabilities. Among them, YPAC Malang City through the Husada Asih YPAC Malang Main Clinic, the Bhakti Luhur Foundation, and the Putra Pancasila Foundation of Malang City.
"Strengthening collaboration in handling disability issues in Malang City is certainly a breath of fresh air for the fulfillment of basic rights of ADK. Thank you for the role of the parties and hopefully this can be sustainable," concluded Peni.
The attention of all parties is a mandate of Article 21 of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities, as well as Malang City Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2014 concerning Protection and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. (ndu/ram)
