Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – One of the priority programs of the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, is to produce at least one person who has memorized the Qur'an or hafiz/hafizah in each RW. In relation to this, through the Public Welfare and Community Section, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) is collaborating with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to provide social security for the hufaz.
So that on Wednesday (2/2/2022) at the Pelangi Hotel, 95 hufaz in Malang City received assistance and were issued BPJS Employment participant cards.
Mayor Sutiaji said that this program is a real manifestation of concern and to encourage the birth of more hafiz/hafizah in the future. Until now, he said, at least no less than 700 hafiz and hafizah are being fostered by the Malang City Community and Welfare Section.
"They are noble and chosen people, so it is natural that the Malang City Government and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan give special attention," he added.
These hufaz, explained the number one person in the Malang City Government, receive assistance of Rp1 million every month and the monthly premium of Rp16.168,00 is also covered by the Malang City Government. "In the future, as the number of hufaz continues to increase, we plan to increase the amount of assistance. If there are more hufaz, it will bring benefits or prosperity to a region," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Malang Service Section Sevy Renita Setyaningrum welcomed the Malang City Government program. According to her, this is the first in her work area and in the future it is hoped that other areas will follow, such as Batu City and Malang Regency.
"For the facilities provided or obtained by hufaz, it is the same as participants in general, such as work accident and death insurance. If the contribution is increased, then the services will also increase. For this, we are waiting for the Malang City Public Welfare and Community Section. Maybe it can be realized next year," said the woman in the hijab. (say/ram)
