Malang, MC – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) was assessed as good in managing regional assets (BMD) by the Directorate General of Regional Financial Development, Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri). Therefore, the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji was invited to give a presentation at the webinar on Problem Solving and Optimizing the Utilization of Regional Assets in Increasing Regional Original Income (PAD) virtually from the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) of Malang City Hall, Wednesday (9/2/2022).

Sutiaji said that his party is committed to fixing asset issues so that their utilization is more optimal, including to increase local revenue (PAD). "We do it in five strategies, namely inventory, security, regulatory follow-up, utilization and transfer," explained Sutiaji.
The number one person in the Malang City Government added that the inventory was realized in the form of increasing the status of 8.264 plots of land assets and the formation of a team involving the prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN). Meanwhile, security measures were taken by installing boundary signs and talking boards.
All are supported by complete regulations, starting from Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning Management of Regional Property to the mayoral regulations (perwali) and mayoral decisions which are the mandate of its derivatives. "Increasing PAD from the utilization of BMD is very important in order to realize development independence," he continued.
He revealed that the achievement of land use permit retribution reached IDR2,42 billion (2021). Meanwhile, from rental and cooperation results, income jumped from IDR4,92 billion (2020) to IDR11,68 billion (2021). This shows that the more orderly and optimal management of assets will have an impact on the welfare of a region.
Acting Director General of Regional Financial Development Dr. Drs. A. Fathoni, M.Si when opening the webinar event expressed his appreciation to the regions that continue to improve in managing regional assets.
"This webinar is very important, considering that there are still many asset problems and optimization of utilization that require joint solutions by learning from the efforts that have been made," explained Fathoni.
