Sutiaji inspected the Learning Activity Center (SKB) as a centralized isolation place (isoter) on Jalan Laksamana Adi Sucipto, Pandanwangi Village, Thursday (17/2/2022). This isoter was prepared to anticipate the increasing number of Malang City residents who tested positive for Covid-19.
Mayor Sutiaji said that in this SKB there are 28 rooms with 56 beds. According to him, although the East Java Provincial Government has prepared the Ijen Field Hospital in Malang City. However, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) has also prepared an isoter place.
"If the Ijen Field Hospital is prepared for East Java residents. While in SKB we prepare it as an isoter place for Malang City residents who are positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms," explained Sutiaji.
This SKB is usually prepared as a place to stay if there is training in Malang City. The Malang City Government hopes that through this SKB it can be used as an isoter place. "Although many residents are exposed to Covid-19, anticipation and healing can be done quickly," explained Sutiaji.
The latest data on Covid-19 in Malang City continues to spike, even reaching 600 people detected in one day. But the handling was carried out quickly so that the recovery could be even greater. "The large number of Covid-19 patients detected cannot be separated from the massive testing, tracing, and tracking," said Sutiaji.
Sutiaji appealed to the public to continue to obey health protocols, such as avoiding crowds, wearing masks, and washing hands with running water. In addition, the Malang City Government is also strengthening the Implementation of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) so that it can suppress the spread of Covid-19. (cah/ram)
