Malang, MC – In order to minimize and prevent the occurrence of Covid-19 clusters in Malang City, especially from industrial or factory environments, especially during the massive Omicron variant attack like now, Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji appealed to all industries to strictly implement health protocols.

Because, from a factory also determines the stability of the community's economy because there is a mutual symbiosis in it. For example, when a cluster occurs or a factory is closed and there is a large-scale layoff, then those who will lose and be harmed are not only the factory and employees, but also other related sectors.
For example, public transportation drivers and pedicab drivers who transport factory employees every day. Likewise, traders in traditional markets and street vendors who usually hang out in front of factories, their income will decrease drastically.
These are some of the things conveyed by Mayor Sutiaji on Friday (18/2/2022) after reviewing and ensuring the implementation of health protocols in a cigarette factory on Jalan Industri Barat Number 2, Malang City. Regarding this, his party will intensively carry out checks like this in a number of industries, especially several medium and large-scale cigarette factories in Malang City.
"We will conduct checks such as periodically and not only when Covid-19 cases increase. So that later an industry or factory that is resilient to Covid-19 will be formed. Therefore, the supporting infrastructure for this health protocol in each factory must be adequate," appealed the number one person in the Malang City Government.
The cigarette factory visited today, said Mayor Sutiaji, has received the title of Covid-19 resilient factory from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the central Covid-19 Task Force some time ago. He appealed to the Covid-19 Task Force in each factory to intensify its performance again and for employees to comply with health protocols.
"Mitigation in every industry must continue to be strengthened, so that unwanted things do not happen. Thus, from a strong industry, it will also become one of the levers of a strong and sustainable community economy," concluded Sutiaji. (say/yon)
