Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to suppress the transmission of Covid-19, the Malang City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) has been actively carrying out operations to enforce health protocols (prokes). In the past week, there have been six minor criminal actions (tipiring) and two written warnings to people who violated them, Thursday (24/2/2022).

Among the minor actions were given to Teguh Mustofa, a resident of Peron Padasan while at Kriwul Coffee on Sunan Kalijaga Street, Alfan Rosadi, a resident of Jeding Bantur Village while at Kunil Coffee. Meanwhile, a warning sanction was given to Ahmad Qoyumudin, a resident of Banyuwangi while at Kunil Coffee, and Dhaifulla Ryan Abimanyu, a resident of Nganjuk while at Kunil Coffee.

Head of Public Order and Security (KKU) of Malang City Satpol PP Rahmat Hidayat, ST., M.Ling confirmed that they continue to carry out operations to comply with health protocols. Including this week, his party has carried out various operations, education, and strict action against violators.

"The targets of our operations are hangout centers, such as on Jalan Sukarno-Hatta, Sudimoro, Borobudur, Sigura-gura, Dieng, Kedungkandang, and Sawojajar," explained Rahmat.

From the operations carried out in the past week, they violated health protocols such as not wearing masks. In addition to being carried out by Satpol PP, health protocol operations were also carried out jointly with the TNI/Polri, as well as jointly with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol), the Transportation Agency (Dishub), and the Health Agency (Dinkes).

Malang City, he said, has entered the Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). Therefore, Malang City Satpol PP is increasingly active in patrolling, educating, and taking action. So that the public really must not be careless with the presence of Covid-19.

"As conveyed by the central government, Covid-19 in Indonesia is still there and has entered the third wave. It requires attention from everyone to work together to minimize the spread," said Rahmat.

Hangout places such as Kayutangan and Jalan Ijen will be the target of operations and socialization. Because the pandemic is not over yet, and crowded centers are prone to crowds, many business activities will continue to be a concern. "Once again, inform the public that Indonesia is currently experiencing a third wave of Covid-19, especially the Omicron variant," said Rahmat.

Meanwhile, the data on the spread of positive Covid-19 in Malang City reached 600 people who tested positive per day. Whereas previously it was at zero, then it rose again like it is now. "All of this must be watched out for. The public must know. Do not ignore it even though the death toll so far is still small. Do not let Covid-19 explode," concluded Rahmat. (cah/ram)
