Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Limited face-to-face learning (PTM) will begin on Monday, March 14, 2022 after being postponed last Monday. This time, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) stated that it is ready if students return to school.
Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT said that this PTM was implemented along with the decreasing positivity rate in Malang City. Currently, the Covid-19 trend shows encouraging or decreasing data developments.
"That's why it feels like the pandemic will be declared endemic in a few moments. So the mayor plans to start implementing face-to-face meetings starting next Monday," explained Erik while attending a dialogue with residents at Taman Riau, Friday (11/3/2022).
Meanwhile, Head of Malang City Education and Culture Office Suwarjana, SE., MM revealed that schools have made various preparations. "The schools are all ready, but there must still be permission from parents. Later via Google form. God willing, everything is ready. The community is also ready. I am sure more than 90 percent of the community agrees (to hold PTM)," said Suwarjana.
Officially, the Malang City Education and Culture Office has issued a circular letter Number 421/1193/35.73.401/2022. It is stated in this letter that all schools at the early childhood education (PAUD), elementary schools (SD), and junior high schools (SMP), as well as non-formal education units in Malang City have been permitted to hold limited PTM.
In the letter dated March 11, 2022, several provisions regarding the implementation of limited PTM were also written, such as the number of students and the length of study at school, as well as of course the appeal for health protocols in schools. (ari/ram)
