The presence of DMI Malang City is very important to reflect on ourselves, because in the future the challenges will be even more extraordinary.

The more advanced the era, currently causing extraordinary assimilation and cultural transformation. To fortify the people from negative influences, the role and presence of the mosque is very necessary.

"Therefore, the accreditation of the mosque is very important. The inventory of the mosque must be strengthened from the land status and permit status so that there is clarity so that there is no worry," explained Sutiaji.

In Malang City itself, currently there are at least approximately 1.528 mosques standing strong for Muslims. In the future, mosques in Malang City will also have a function for the development of the people's economy.

"This needs to be done so that the true function of the mosque is not lost, as in the time of the Prophet, that the mosque was also used for the development of the people's economy," said Sutiaji.

Meanwhile, the Head of DMI Malang City Prof. Dr. Kasuwi Syaiban, M. Ag said that mosques in Malang City are still in the process of strengthening accreditation. This is a priority program of DMI Malang City.

"We thank the mayor who continues to encourage the strengthening of the status of the mosque, both its accreditation and land status to be clearer so that it has legal force," explained Kasuwi.

Kasuwi added, the function of the mosque must continue to be strengthened and carried out. First, the mosque must be idaroh which means capable of managing. Second, imaroh means the activities carried out must be good. Third, riayah where the guarding carried out must also be good.

"If the three functions of the mosque run well, then in addition to being prosperous, the mosque will realize its role as a source of welfare for the people," Kasuwi emphasized. (cah/ram)
