This will be realized by carrying the spirit of collaboration between the government, academics, society, media, banking, and financial services and the business world in harmonizing resources and talents for one purpose. A symphony in various colors is the energy for this city and nation.

First, the number '108th' in blue which is a marker of age and the color of pride of Malang City. Second, the mascot element Osi & Ji with an enthusiastic gesture to synergize.
Third, the writing of Malang City is green accompanied by a narrative theme as a representation of the color of the government symbol and the ideals of prosperity. Fourth, flower petals that mean Malang as a flower city is ready to bloom socially and economically in facing the pandemic.

The great contribution of the local creative community was also highly appreciated by Mayor Sutiaji. "I am very proud and grateful for the role of the young people of Malang who have produced extraordinary works. God willing, this selected logo represents our spirit to rise," concluded Sutiaji.
