Lowokwaru, (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko was present at the secretariat of the North Sumatra Muslim Student Association (Imamusu) on Jalan Mertojoyo Block S Number 157 E, Tuesday (22/3/2022).
Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, admitted that he was happy to be able to meet with students from North Sumatra. This activity is a form of concern from the Malang City Government (Pemkot) for students who have made real contributions to advancing Malang City.
"The progress of the Malang City Government today cannot be separated from the world of education. Including students in this case driving the economy of Malang City," explained Bung Edi, Tuesday (22/3/2022).
Through this gathering, it is hoped that cooperation between Malang City and students can be improved. In addition, it can also bring closer relations between regions. "Through activities like this, we can give messages and provide motivation to students so that they can study well," he explained.
Especially in Malang City, currently there are students from various regions in Indonesia, even the world. For that, friendship is very important so that the intimacy of both parties can be established.
Imamusu Chairman Ridha Zikri was very happy with the willingness of the Deputy Mayor of Malang to be present directly at the Imamusu secretariat. This is a source of pride for Imamusu students because they receive attention from the Malang City Government.
"There are 200 students currently joining Imamusu. However, this year we only have a secretariat. Alhamdulillah, the deputy mayor is here. This is our encouragement to study in Malang City," said Zikri. (cah/ram)
