Increasing Competitiveness, Disnaker PMPTSP Holds LPKS Technical Guidance

Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Manpower, Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Agency (Disnaker PMPTSP) of Malang City held Technical Guidance for Private Job Training Institutions (LPKS) throughout Malang City in 2022. The activity, which was attended by 35 LPKS representatives, was held for three days, starting from March 28-30, 2022) at the LPK Universitas Merdeka (Unmer) Malang.

Acting Head of the Malang City PMPTSP Manpower Office Siti Mahmudah, SE., MM revealed that employment development is carried out as an effort to create jobs and reduce the number of unemployed, as well as human resource development directed at the formation of independent professional workers, with high work ethics and productive. "Therefore, the role of job training institutions is very strategic," she said.

The efforts of the Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the PMPTSP Manpower Office in fostering and empowering human resources, as well as improving the role, function, duties and level of qualification of LPKS managers, said Mahmudah, is by providing technical guidance on the management of training institutions.

"In this technical guidance, material will be provided on how to develop training institutions in the digital era, based on vocations, a dynamic education and training system that follows the changing needs of society, industry, aspirations of the younger generation and the rapidly changing global economy. The curriculum design can be flexible and in accordance with the needs of the industry as a user of labor," he explained further.

"After attending the three-day technical guidance, which consisted of providing materials, practice and mentoring, it is hoped that the quality of the implementation of job training and the credibility and competitiveness of LPKS Malang City will increase," he hoped.

Meanwhile, Head of Manpower Division of Malang City PMPTSP Manpower Office Ir. Titis Andayani, MM said that this technical guidance aims to improve knowledge, insight and human resource capabilities comprehensively and continuously.

"This is to improve the quality of job training and increase the credibility and competitiveness of LPKS in Malang City," he explained. (yon/ram)
