Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – To respect Muslims who are fasting, entertainment venues, massage parlors, and alcoholic beverage sellers in Malang City must close or not operate. This is in accordance with the Circular of the Mayor of Malang Number 18 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Activities in the Month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah.

Joint officers check alcoholic beverages during socialization of regulations during Ramadan

In this regard, officers from Satpol PP, TNI-Polri, and the Malang City Transportation Agency on Wednesday (30/3/2022) conducted socialization of the regulation to managers of a number of entertainment venues, massage parlors, and sellers of alcoholic beverages. At this moment, officers also checked whether in the 16 targeted places there were alcoholic beverages being sold or provided that did not comply with the regulations.

Head of Public Order and Security (Kabid Trantibum) of Malang City Satpol PP Rahmat Hidayat said that so far his team had not found any alcoholic beverages or other suspicious items in several places visited.

"During the month of Ramadan, if any of these managers are still operating, they are threatened with being sealed and even having their business licenses revoked. So there is no more tolerance, because we have socialized the rules long ago to them," he added.

Although the regulation has been socialized, Rahmat said, during the month of Ramadan, officers will still conduct joint checks and operations. This is to anticipate business managers who are suspected of still being stubborn. "For residents who know about this matter, they should report it to officers for follow-up and checks in the field," he concluded. (say/ram)
