Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The 108th anniversary of Malang City, which is precisely on April 1, 2022, is a special and extraordinary moment because it is commemorated in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic and at this time the cases continue to decline. In addition, in the previous two years, namely 2020 and 2021, the anniversary commemoration was still considered mediocre. Because in April 2020 it was still the beginning of the pandemic and in April 2021 the Covid-19 cases were at their highest.
For this year there is a special feature, because the atmosphere is more relaxed and even so, it is hoped that the public will not be careless and continue to implement health protocols strictly. In the midst of a situation like this, we should also not be too euphoric because the pandemic is not over yet. Various achievements and performances from the collaboration of various parties have also been well engraved until now.
These are some of the things conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji in a plenary meeting at the local DPRD building, Thursday (31/3/2022). "Hopefully this anniversary commemoration will further increase the sense of togetherness between all elements of society in Malang City in making development a success," he added.
On this occasion, the number one person in the Malang City Government expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the leaders and members of the Malang City DPRD. "Hopefully this good cooperation can always be maintained and improved in the future. I also invite the Malang City Government apparatus, vertical agencies, the TNI/Polri and community leaders, religious scholars and intellectuals and all elements of society to continue to improve their performance, devotion and the best service to the community," he invited.
Creativity, innovation, and real work from the entire community, continued Mayor Sutiaji, are also greatly needed in contributing to the acceleration of development in our beloved Malang City. "On behalf of the government and the people of Malang City, I also express my highest gratitude and appreciation to the fighters, pioneers and founders of the Malang City government, who have made real contributions to achieving development progress to this day," he continued.
Although the council meeting held today is still in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, said the bespectacled man. However, this activity provides meaning and significance for the birth of a region by the people and citizens of Malang City.
Furthermore, Sutiaji conveyed, an expression of gratitude for the age of 108 which has tread a fairly long historical journey in the fields of government, development and community service. At the same time as a means of introspection on what we have done and will do for the progress of development and the welfare of the people of Malang City.
According to him, this is not easy to realize, but based on a sense of belonging, a serious commitment and a spirit of togetherness to advance Malang City. Related to that, the commemoration of Malang City's anniversary took the theme 'Collaboration, Acceleration and Rise Together'. The theme reflects the spirit of rising within the framework of harmony in realizing the vision and mission of developing a dignified Malang City, where in the last two years it has faced the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"For that reason, the sense of mutual strengthening through the hexa helix collaboration concept that has been well established must continue to be maintained with one goal in the same spirit and strong determination and fighting together to get out of the Covid-19 pandemic," he explained.
At the age of 108, Sutiaji explained, there have been many achievements in development progress that have been implemented in Malang City.
