Starfruit, (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko attended the 5th Anniversary of the Polowijen Cultural Village (KBP) in Polowijen Village, Blimbing, Malang City, Friday (1/4/2022).

Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, said that this Friday is a very good day for KBP and Malang City. Because Malang City is also celebrating its 108th anniversary. In addition, he said, this anniversary moment is also close to the holy month of Ramadan.
"We are here to provide encouragement to KBP residents, so that they can revive tourism in Malang City," explained Bung Edi.
Therefore, the public is urged to comply with health protocols, even though residents have been vaccinated. So that the economy in Malang City can recover soon.
Five years old, said Bung Edi, is still young. But KBP has proven that it can continue to exist in developing various cultural activities. This is very interesting and in line with the Malang City Government program to continue to be present with the community in developing the creative economy.
"Our focus now is on economic recovery, therefore activities like this must continue to be supported by other villages," he explained.
According to him, reviving micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in times like this is also very important, coincidentally the momentum is very right. The government continues to be present to provide support so that the economy and tourism in Malang City can grow again.
"This good opportunity can be a pilot project, as well as a model for how to develop a thematic village," he said. (cah/ram)
