Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 8 Surabaya has opened train ticket sales during the 1443 H Eid Transportation period on the KAI Access application, kai.id website, station counters, and all other official KAI ticket sales channels. KAI sells tickets starting D-45 before departure so that people can buy tickets for travel until May 16, 2022 and beyond.
Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 8 Surabaya, Luqman Arif, on Saturday (2/4/2022) said that this change was made to provide space for the public to plan their travel by train during the Eid transportation period. KAI reminds prospective customers to be careful in choosing the date, relationship, and inputting personal data when making a reservation.
Plan your trip as well as possible including estimating the trip to the station. Don't make a mistake and end up not being able to go home for Eid. "KAI also asks the public to follow developments related to the requirements for using trains during the Eid transportation period from the government. Currently, KAI is also waiting for the official regulations and we will immediately socialize them if the regulations are issued," he said.
KAI has set the Lebaran transportation period to be D-10 to D+10 Lebaran or April 22 to May 13, 2022. During this period, KAI has programmed an average of 39 long-distance train trips per day, with an average seating capacity of 23.490 long-distance train seats per day. According to government regulations, the capacity set for long-distance trains is 100 percent.
As of April 2 at 12.00 WIB, KAI has sold 37.892 long-distance train tickets for departures from May 22 to 13, 2022 or 8 percent of the total tickets provided. The public's favorite trains during that period are the Airlangga train from Surabaya Pasarturi to Pasar Senen PP, the Argo Bromo Anggrek train from Surabaya Pasarturi to Gambir PP, the Gayabaru Malam Selatan train from Surabaya Gubeng to Pasar Senen PP, the Argo Wilis train from Surabaya Gubeng to Bandung PP, and others.
The public's favorite departure date, said Luqman, is April 28-30. "Train tickets during the Lebaran transportation period are still quite widely available. The public can immediately order tickets for Lebaran transportation departures through various available sales channels," he concluded. (say/ram)
