Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) has launched a job exchange application called Job Fair Active. The launch of this application was carried out at the Svana Hotel on Wednesday (6/4/2022). The event was then continued with technical guidance (bimtek) related to this website and Android-based application.

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji expressed his appreciation for the launch of this application. According to him, Job Fair Active is a technology-based breakthrough to facilitate job seekers and build relationships between the Malang City Government and the business world. This application is a manifestation of efforts to build a smart city and a digital creative city.
"This application will certainly reduce the budget for organizing job fairs, as well as the job application and recruitment process. I hope that by implementing this application, it can also reduce corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN) in the worker recruitment process. It is recorded that there are now 21 companies and 192 job seekers registered in this application," said Sutiaji.
Through this application, he said, companies seeking workers can enter job vacancies along with the criteria for the workforce needed without having to place paid advertisements. Companies can register themselves at the website jobfair.malangkota.go.id. After entering the workforce needs, the company will receive recommendations for job seekers who match their needs through the results of the soft skills assessment. After that, the company can carry out the further recruitment process.
For job seekers, he said, they can download Job Fair Active on Playstore, no need to send job application documents to companies. This will certainly save costs and time. After the registration process is complete, job seekers can take the soft skill assessment.
"Users will receive a resume of the assessment results. From the assessment results, job seeker data will automatically be recommended to the appropriate company for further processing," he continued.
One of the job search companies, Adinda (Mandala Finance, Tbk) said that this application is very helpful in the recruitment process for workers in his company. "Our need for workers is very large and does not see the time. Hopefully with this application we can meet the need for human resources as quickly as possible and not wait for the job fair event anymore," he said.
Meanwhile, one of the job seekers, Ulfa, from the representative of SMK Negeri 9 Malang City, said that this application can facilitate the process of finding work.
