Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji had an audience with representatives of the Motor Antique Indonesia Malang (MACI Malang) organization in the Malang Mayor's Meeting Room, Thursday (7/4/2022). The aim was to establish a relationship between the government and motorcycle clubs, as well as to convey readiness to support the activation of the Kayutangan Heritage area.
Mayor Sutiaji said that his party strongly supports the activities that will be carried out by MACI. According to him, the existence of the MACI Malang organization is in line with Malang's status as a member of heritage cities in Indonesia. Where antique motorbikes owned by MACI members are also included in the heritage objects that are well maintained.
"The existence of MACI is certainly linear with the Kayutangan area as a cultural tourism area. It is hoped that the MACI activities that will be carried out in Kayutangan will not only be aimed at attracting public interest in cultural tourism, but also as a means of education for the wider community about the history and knowledge of antique motorbikes and also the Kayutangan area itself," said Sutiaji.
Related to the national scale activities that will be held by MACI, Sutiaji hopes that the activities will create a multi effect that will benefit Malang City. Especially in promoting tourism potential and increasing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
"Therefore, we will help to coordinate with related parties as a form of support from the Malang City Government for this activity," he continued.
MACI Malang Chairman Wahyu said that in the near future MACI will hold a national scale event which is expected to help increase the potential of Malang City in various fields.
"This activity is planned to carry arts and culture, education, and will help increase the potential of tourism and UMKM in Malang City. Because it is planned that 700-1.000 MACI members will participate in the event," said Wahyu.
Also attending the meeting were the Head of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Disporapar) of Malang City Dr. Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH., M.Si, Head of the Environmental Agency, Drs. Wahyu Setianto, MM, Head of the Transportation Agency Heru Mulyono, S.IP., MT, Acting Assistant for Economy and Development Ir.
