Kedungkandang, (malangkota.go.id) – Starting from a hobby of playing banjari at Al-Mubarokah Mosque, Bumiayu Village resident Arif Priadi is actually famous as an expert maker of quality tambourines from Malang City. Now various tambourines have been made, to the point of generating rupiah.
Using the Arief brand, the products made by Arif Priadi are widely used by the al banjari, kasidah, and ishari groups. The guarantee of quality and satisfactory service is provided by the business owner, so that the business he pioneered since 2013 continues to grow.
Arif Priadi said that he started his tambourine business in 2013 based on a hobby. Because he really likes playing al banjari music. Starting from that love, he made his own tambourine autodidactically.
"After being sure that my homemade tambourines were of good quality, I finally dared to sell them through Facebook. Alhamdulillah, since it was first introduced until now, demand has been smooth," explained Arif, Thursday (7/4/2022).
From initially working alone, Arif admitted that he is currently assisted by three workers to complete requests. In one month, he can complete approximately 30 to 50 pieces.
"Including in the month of Ramadan which is usually quiet with buyers. However, in Ramadan 2022, thank God, demand has actually increased. It has increased by 100 percent," explained Arif.
Arif admitted that he is increasingly enthusiastic about pursuing the business of making tambourines. Because the prospects are still very bright. Moreover, in Malang City, tambourines craftsmen are also not that many.
The price of the tambourine sold depends on the material it is made from, such as mango wood sold for Rp200 thousand per piece. Meanwhile, mahogany wood is priced between Rp350 thousand to Rp400 thousand. (cah/ram)
