Breadfruit, (malangkota.go.id) – Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji Safari Ramadan at the Jami' Al-Barokah Mosque, Mulyorejo Village, Malang City, Friday (8/4/2022) evening. He invited the congregation to seek blessings in this holy month of Ramadan.
In this mosque located on the western edge of Malang City, Sutiaji invites the people of Malang City to increase their faith and devotion to Allah SWT. This man who is also a preacher invites the people to flock to seek goodness, especially in the middle of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Sutiaji, the holy month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings. Therefore, he expressed his gratitude for still being given the opportunity to meet this month. Allah multiplies the rewards in the holy month of Ramadan up to tens of times.
"Let's continue to increase our worship in the month of Ramadan to get blessings. The month of Ramadan teaches us to continue to strengthen our totality to Allah," explained Sutiaji.
Because, if blessings are added, people often forget to be grateful. However, when blessings are reduced, people sometimes become distrustful of Allah. "Put Allah's affairs first to balance our faith in Allah. Let's strengthen our faith and piety together in this month of Ramadan," said Sutiaji.
The caretaker of Al-Barokah Mosque, H. Misdiyanto, admitted that he was very happy and grateful that the Al-Barokah Grand Mosque was visited by the mayor and staff from the Malang City Government. He conveyed the history and development of the Al-Barokah Mosque from time to time.
"Al-Barokah Grand Mosque was established in 1927. This mosque has experienced a long journey to become a place to carry out Islamic propagation," explained Misdiyanto.
Currently, the Jami' Al-Barokah Mosque is developing construction by building a tower that is almost complete or 95 percent with a nominal value of Rp1 billion. This mosque also frees up two houses around the mosque for development.
"We ask for the mayor's prayers and blessings, so that we are given the strength to be able to complete the construction and development of this mosque. Hopefully it can further increase the spread of Islam in the Mulyorejo area," explained Misdiyanto.
On this safari, Mayor Sutiaji also gave donations to orphans in Mulyorejo Village, and handed over assistance for the construction of a mosque to the Takmir of the Al-Barokah Grand Mosque from the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Malang City. (cah/ram)
