Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Service (Diskopindag) in collaboration with Bulog Sub Divre Region VII Malang held market operations and cheap markets at four points on April 19-22, 2022.
Head of the Malang City Trade and Industry Office, Muhamad Sailendra, ST., MM, said that this step was taken as an effort to help residents meet their needs and maintain the stability of basic food prices.
"We are holding cheap operations and markets so that people have convenience ahead of Eid al-Fitr. We are working with Bulog, as well as livestock breeders and farmers," said Sailendra, Tuesday (19/4/2022).
A total of 2.750 basic food packages consisting of oil, sugar, rice were prepared at a price of Rp69 thousand. Hundreds of kilograms of shallots, garlic, and eggs were also provided by the Malang City Government.
The mechanism for interested people is a coupon distributed through the local sub-district. Then distributed to each RW. The operational hours of the cheap market start at 09.00-12.00 WIB.
"The plan is in four locations, Polowijen, Merjosari, Karangbesuki and the Diskopindag Office for the next four days," explained Sailendra.
The people of Malang City can also monitor the movement of the average daily staple food prices in Malang City through the application sembako.malangkota.go.id/. Based on data as of April 19, it was recorded that the commodity that experienced a price increase was chicken eggs at around Rp22,3 thousand per kilogram. Meanwhile, other commodities such as rice, meat and sugar are still relatively stable. (ndu/ram)
