Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Kartini Day, which is celebrated every April 21, needs to be a moment to express themselves for women. The expression is certainly filled with positive things in filling Indonesia's independence. For example, becoming one of the inspiring people because of their hard work and success.
This statement was conveyed by the Assistant for General Administration of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Sri Winarni, SH., MM at Malang City Hall, Monday (18/4/2022).
For Sri Winarni, women play a very important role in the development journey of the Indonesian nation. Women, by nature, have advantages in terms of precision and accuracy. So that it helps the development process from the planning process, implementation, evaluation to supervision.
"Of course, this does not disregard the role and support of male colleagues in its implementation in the field," said the Acting Head of the Malang City Food Security and Agriculture Service (Dispangtan).
The advantages possessed by women, according to her, are also very helpful when required to act as policy makers. The woman who is familiarly called Bu Win said that the role of women, especially in Malang City, has a fairly important role in policy making, especially representing women.
"In Malang City, for a long time, there has been no difference in terms of gender, and it provides equal opportunities for everyone to show their competence," he continued.
Women are given the opportunity to work, as evidenced by the positions they hold in the Malang City Government. This means that women's voices are sufficiently represented in all matters relating to policy making in Malang City.
Mrs. Win is one of the many examples of women's voices in the Malang City government, where she is currently trusted to carry out two tasks at once, namely as the Assistant for General Administration of the Malang City Regional Secretariat and Acting Head of the Malang City Dispangtan.
Having an important role in the Malang City Government environment does not make this woman who loves pop music forget her main role as a wife and mother in the family. This is what she thinks is a challenge, especially for career women. "The key is balance and prioritizing what is our priority at that time, and it is important to be able to work together and communicate well with all stakeholders," she said.
Mrs. Win also added that her ability to divide the role between a state civil servant (ASN) and a mother, cannot be separated from the support of her husband and children. Understanding and support from the family are the most important things in helping her as a woman when working.
According to him, the most interesting experience during his work was when he had to work on three activities simultaneously. When he became Head of the Government Section (2017), at that time Malang City was appointed as the host for the implementation of the Indonesian City Government Association (Apeksi), and at the same time, Malang City participated as a participant in the National Village Competition, represented by Sawojajar Village, where the Government Section played a role in facilitating Sawojajar Village.
"In addition, at the same time as the two previous activities, I participated in the auction for the position of Head of the Malang City Agriculture and Food Security Service. Alhamdulillah, all three were successful," he said with emotion.
With her wealth of experience, Sri Winarni deserves the nickname of modern Kartini who plays a role in advancing Malang City. "Maximizing the potential that we have to achieve the future. God willing, what we do is useful and can give meaning, not only for ourselves, but for our families, nation, and country," she said. (ayu/ram)
