Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Ahead of the long holiday of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, invited all state civil servants (ASN) within the Malang City Government (Pemkot) to further improve their professionalism. He conveyed this while leading the morning assembly in the yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (25/4/2022).
Mayor Sutiaji reminded that currently the dynamics in the field are extraordinary. Social media is a window, so that all information can be clearly known by the public. Responding to this, Sutiaji emphasized, thus the public will certainly pay more attention to the performance of the government including ASN.
Regarding the holiday allowance (THR) that will be received by ASN, Sutiaji said that ASN performance must also be improved. "So this is a challenge for all of us. This means that our professionalism is increasingly demanded. Whatever we enjoy must go hand in hand with what we have to do," said Sutiaji.
Philosophically, he said, there are three things that accompany a salary, namely responsibility, burden, and risk. A big salary means big responsibility, big burden, and big risk. Like it or not, it must be adjusted, especially since the demands of society are getting stronger every day, so it must be strengthened together.
In the context of the long Eid al-Fitr holiday, Sutiaji also reminded ASN to be orderly and comply with the predetermined schedule. "We will go around so that no ASN is absent on the first day of work after the long holiday. Please, the community is also monitoring everything. Come on, be enthusiastic, there is no burden for all of us if we intend to work hard and recommit to ourselves," he said.
At the end of his message, Sutiaji also reminded, as public servants even though it is a holiday, they must still be able to serve the public. (ari/ram)
