Lebaran Homecoming Traffic Begins to Increase at Arjosari Terminal

Starfruit, (malangkota.go.id) – The 2022 Eid homecoming flow with inter-provincial destinations was seen starting to dominate the density at the Arjosari Terminal, Friday (29/4/2022).

Travelers begin to crowd the Arjosari Terminal

Coordinator of Arjosari Malang Terminal Service Unit Hadi Supeno confirmed that the current Lebaran homecoming flow has begun to experience an increase in the number of passengers. Especially people using inter-provincial buses (AKAP).

"For homecoming passengers, there have been many in the last two days. We will continue to provide the best service," explained Hadi.

Based on data from the Terminal Management Unit (UPT) of the Arjosari Malang Terminal, for the homecoming flow using AKAP buses, 740 passengers were recorded on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Meanwhile, on Thursday (28/4/2022), 653 passengers were recorded with the dominant destinations being Jakarta, Central Java, and Bali.

The number of buses operating is according to the needs and number of passengers. If later the number of passengers increases, of course there will be additional buses. "Usually since the Covid-19 pandemic, the seats are filled with only a few passengers. Now more are filled," said Hadi.

Unlike AKAP buses that experienced an increase in passengers, for intercity buses within the province (AKDP) passengers are still quiet. Buses with short-distance destinations such as Malang, Surabaya, Probolinggo, Jember, Kediri, Blitar and other areas in East Java Province are still like normal days.

"We predict a significant increase in the number of passengers at Arjosari Terminal will occur two days before Lebaran," concluded Hadi. (cah/ram)
