Boosting SPIP Maturity, Mayor Sutiaji Encourages Regional Apparatus to Synergize

Malang, malangkota.go.id –  The Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Inspectorate held a workshop on Preparation for Independent Assessment and Quality Assurance of the Maturity of the Implementation of the Integrated Government Internal Control System (SPIP) at Malang City Hall, Tuesday (10/5/2022).

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji took a photo with the staff during the Integrated SPIP workshop at Malang City Hall

This workshop is to improve the knowledge and understanding of all regional apparatuses, related to the implementation of the maturity assessment of the implementation of integrated SPIP in local governments, especially in Malang City. In addition, it is also a reinforcement of material on the process and mechanism of the integrated SPIP maturity assessment.

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji emphasized the importance of strengthening synergy between regional apparatuses, because the government is institutional in nature. Where institutional means owned by the public, not individuals so that it must be accountable to the public.

"In SPIP, one of them is the government. So what we carry belongs to the public, so we must be accountable to the public. The public is a society with varying levels of literacy. So the hope is that we continue to strengthen literacy, both our literacy and the literacy of our society," explained Sutiaji.

According to him, institutional means not personal but groups that are interrelated with each other. So if there is one that is not right, then the others will be affected. Therefore, Sutiaji invited to strengthen the synergy of one regional apparatus with another regional apparatus. Because they are interconnected and become a shared commitment.

"Alhamdulillah, we are currently continuing to strengthen it, we are currently launching a regional regulation related to financial matters. Hopefully, there are already three basic principles, namely accountability, transparency and participation. That means all people will be able to see our work and performance," he added.

"What does it mean if our literature is good, but the implementation is zero. But the main thing is to strengthen our literacy first, when literacy is strong, God willing, we have strong confidence to implement it. Let's be orderly, if the administration is orderly, God willing, we are healthy. So that in the future we will not make the same mistakes," he hoped.

Also present at the event were Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, Regional Secretary of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT, Head of BPKP Representative of East Java Province Alexander Rubi Satyoadi, SE., ME, and all heads of regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government.
