Malang (malangkota.go.id) – For about 21 days ago, the Tunggulmas Bridge connecting Tunggulwulung and Tlogomas Villages was completely closed. However, since last Thursday (12/5/2022), the bridge has been reopened.
Head of Traffic Unit of Malang City Police, Commissioner Yoppi Anggi Khrisna, on Friday (13/5/2022) said that his party was following the direction and coordination with the Malang City Transportation Agency (Dishub) regarding the opening of the bridge.
"For the time being, one-way traffic engineering has not been implemented. So road users can still drive in two directions, either via Jalan Raya Tlogomas or Jalan Saxophone," he explained.
Furthermore, Kompol Yoppi said, from the results of coordination with the Malang City Transportation Agency, one-way traffic engineering will be carried out. However, the plan is still waiting to be coordinated with the ranks of the Traffic Communication Forum.
From monitoring at the location, a number of personnel from the Malang City Transportation Agency are regulating the flow of vehicle traffic passing through the Tunggulmas Bridge to avoid congestion. Water barriers and iron signs are also installed in the middle of the Tlogomas Highway section not far from the bridge access.
Meanwhile, Head of Malang City Transportation Agency Heru Mulyono, S.IP., MT said, the opening of the bridge and the implementation of two-way traffic is planned in the next week. "Furthermore, we will coordinate again with related parties, including the East Java Transportation Agency," he said. (say/ram)
