Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The rapid work of repairing damaged roads to improve the safety and comfort of motorists in Malang City has paid off. A total of 45 road sections have been repaired by the Malang City Government since the start of the 'Sahur on The Road' agenda on April 18, 2022 until Sunday (15/5/2022) early this morning.
Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (DPUPRPKP) of Malang City Ir. Diah Ayu Kusumadewi, MT expressed her gratitude that so far the work process has been running smoothly and quickly. "Before Eid yesterday, 29 roads were handled. Then the Eid holiday and we started again on Wednesday (11/5) yesterday. Alhamdulillah, we have been able to complete 16 roads, so the total is 45," explained Diah.
Thus, it means that within 18 days of work, DPUPRPKP has completed 43 percent of the total 105 road sections identified as requiring immediate repair through additional budget, as directed by the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji while also responding to the aspirations of the community.
The 16 road sections that have been handled in the last four days of work include Trunojoyo, Candi V, Kaliurang, Tawangmangu, Bungur, and Mawar roads. Followed by Bunga Semboja, Untung Suropati, Kalisari, Sekarputih, East Hamid Rusdi, Kalisari gg KPK, Bandulan, South Tebo, Mulyorejo and finally Madukoro Road.
Separately, Mayor Sutiaji appreciated the fast work of road repairs and hoped that the road sections that had not been handled could also be repaired smoothly. "Of course, according to our shared hopes, the road repairs can be done at once. Those who have not, please be patient, we will continue to speed up the process. In the future, we have also discussed the readiness of the 2022 PAK budget for comprehensive repairs in a number of sections," explained Sutiaji.
Smooth mobility is expected to support the economic growth of residents. The road repair mechanism is still carried out optimizing the time from 22.00-04.00 WIB to minimize traffic disruption. (ndu/ram)
