Ahead of Kayutangan Zone III Development, Telecommunications Providers Asked to Install Cables

Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (DPUPRPKP) held an initial socialization ahead of the implementation of the Kayutangan Zone III development in the agency hall, Tuesday (17/5/2022).

Head of DPUPRPKP Malang City Ir. Diah Ayu Kusumadewi, MT in her presentation emphasized the importance of synergy between parties for the smooth running of development. Including in accordance with the direction of Mayor Sutiaji regarding the importance of the role of telecommunications service providers to immediately lower the fiber optic cables that are currently still stretching along the corridor of Jalan Basuki Rahmat.

"I ask my colleagues to adjust the schedule and commitment related to the cable arrangement. We will complete the ducting soon so that it is more efficient if the cable lowering schedule is aligned," explained Diah.

The woman in the hijab added that the construction process for Kayutangan Heritage Zone III will begin at the end of May and is targeted for completion at the end of November 2022.

The work to be done includes the arrangement of pedestrians, channels, andesite and asphalt. Specifically related to the dimensions of the ducting prepared, it measures 40x40 cm on each side of the pedestrian with 43 control tank points for maintenance access.

The process of discussion with the providers according to Diah, has been carried out in several initial coordination meetings before the socialization. So she hopes that the commitment that has been agreed to jointly realize better regional planning can be realized.

"I remind you once again. Including those in front of MCC, according to the early June commitment, they must go down," said Diah.

Several provider representatives who attended expressed their readiness to follow the Malang City Government's policy. "If possible, detailed technical matters such as the arrangement of the distribution network to customers, can be discussed in a special forum with other providers," said Bram, a representative from one of the providers who attended.

Furthermore, regarding the impact of traffic and other things during the construction process, Diah ensured that communication with the ranks of the Transportation Agency, Malang City Police and community elements will continue to be built for the sake of conduciveness.

"In principle, we try to minimize it. Today and tomorrow's socialization with the community is also our part in listening to input. For traffic engineering at certain times, we will also discuss it in the traffic forum. In addition, I invite everyone to maintain conduciveness," added Diah. (ndu/ram)
