The current manager of Pangsit Mie Pak Sumarto, Bibit Priono, revealed that this culinary business has been established since 1965. It started on Jalan Welirang, then around the 1990s it moved to a shop in the Jalan MT Haryono area.

Bibit said that in a day he can sell around 10 kilograms. "This pandemic has indeed reduced somewhat, usually 10 kilograms are sold in a day, that's around 150 portions. Previously, it could reach 200 portions. Alhamdulillah," he said.

In one portion consists of noodles. In addition, it is equipped with shredded chicken, wonton crackers, mustard greens, and pickles. The shape of the noodles served at Pangsit Mie Pak Sumarto is different from the noodles usually used for most wonton noodles found in Malang City.

The shape is not round, but wide. These noodles are made by themselves without preservatives. Although the texture is chewy, it remains soft in the mouth. The seasoning blend is just right, savory when eaten.

As the name suggests, this shop only serves noodle dumplings with various toppings. You can add meatballs or liver and gizzard. A portion of noodle dumplings at this predominantly green shop is priced starting at Rp12.000,00.

This shop is open every day from 09.00 to 21.00 WIB. Pangsit Pak Sumarto also opened a branch on Jalan Akordion. Nawak Ngalam can also order via online motorcycle taxi. (ari/ram)
