Improving Job Seekers' Competence, Malang City Government Holds Entrepreneurship Training

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government through the Manpower, Investment, One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (Disnaker PMPTSP) held entrepreneurship training in 2022 at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, Merdeka University of Malang, Monday (23/5/2022).

This training aims to prepare job seekers to change their mindset from 'worker' to 'entrepreneur' so that they can become business actors in various sectors. In this training, participants will gain knowledge about the theory and practice of entrepreneurship.

"Participants are expected to be able to design business premises, types of businesses, commodity marketing plans, implement, pioneer and develop entrepreneurial professions," said Head of Manpower Division of the Malang City PMPTSP Manpower Office, Ir. Titis Andayani, MM.

Furthermore, he revealed that through the training that will be held for four days from May 23-27, 2022, participants will be given provisions in the form of instilling attitudes and behavior as an entrepreneur who has ethics, knowing the driving factors for the development of a business, and knowing the success and failure stories of entrepreneurs in the field. So that it is expected to encourage participants to pursue the entrepreneurial profession more.

"After attending four days of training consisting of providing materials, practice and mentoring, followed by a competency test, it is expected to improve knowledge, insight and human resource capabilities comprehensively and continuously. So that participants are increasingly motivated to strive and be more independent, and can increase the competitiveness of the business they will be engaged in," he said.

This entrepreneurship training activity was attended by 54 job seekers in Malang City. The Malang City Government hopes that by holding entrepreneurship training, participants can gain adequate knowledge on how to try or run a business, both directly and online.

"The goal is that the knowledge gained by participants can be used as provisions for managing their businesses. So that later they can compete in the midst of globalization and even develop their businesses into larger business scales which will ultimately be able to increase income and community welfare," he added.

According to him, in the midst of various crises currently being faced, preparation is needed to face future challenges. The preparation carried out is related to how existing human resources are improved in quality by providing various life skills, one of which is through entrepreneurship training.

"Becoming an entrepreneur who is educated and trained in facing challenges, and is able to find existing business opportunities is a profitable alternative for job seekers to apply in real life. Hopefully this training will be useful for all of us," concluded Titis. (eka/ram)
