Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji gave his appreciation regarding the construction of the Malang Islamic University Polytechnic (Polisma) in the Bulan Terang Housing area, Lesanpuro Village, Kedungkandang District. According to him, currently Unisma has undergone many changes and progress. Including the construction of this Polisma, which is one proof of the transformation of the university under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulama.
The statement was made by the number one person in the Malang City Government after laying the first stone of the Polisma on Wednesday (25/5/2022). The construction of the Polisma is in accordance with the Malang City development program which is currently being developed to the east or the Kedungkandang District area. So that later it will definitely have a very positive impact.
"In addition to continuing to strengthen and improve the quality of education, it will also improve the economy of the surrounding community. Automatically the human development index (HDI) will be boosted. A number of other facilities in the future will also be built in this area, such as hospitals, hotels and SMA/SMK," explained Sutiaji.
Meanwhile, Unisma Rector Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, MSi said that Polisma is targeted to be completed in five years on a land of around five hectares with an investment of Rp14 billion. "We hope that the construction will not take up to five years," he added.
The construction of this new campus, explained the bespectacled man that in the future Polisma will realize big leaps and without the shadow of the great name of Unisma. "We are optimistic that it will be realized well and from Polisma will be born skilled workers," he concluded. (say/ram)
