Malang (malangkota.go.id) – BPJS Kesehatan continues to strive to provide convenience and solutions to problems faced by JKN-KIS participants. Most recently, in January BPJS Kesehatan created an innovative Phased Payment Plan (Rehab) program intended for JKN-KIS participants in the Non-Wage Receiving Workers (PBPU) and Non-Workers (BP) segments who have arrears of more than three months.

"JKN-KIS participants who have outstanding contributions can make payments in stages. Later, after all arrears and current month's contributions have been paid in full, the participant status will be reactivated," said Head of BPJS Kesehatan Malang Branch, Dina Diana Permata, Friday (27/5/2022).
Dina added, in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2018, that BPJS Kesehatan collects arrears of contributions and records a maximum of 24 months. For JKN-KIS program participants who have arrears of contributions of less than 24 months, there is a potential for additional bills for the current month.
Furthermore, the bespectacled woman said that if a JKN KIS program participant has arrears of more than 24 months, it will be recorded and billed for a maximum of 24 months.
"BPJS Kesehatan will record and bill arrears of a maximum of 24 months. So, for example, if a participant has arrears of 50 months, then BPJS Kesehatan will only bill 24 months," added Dina.
JKN-KIS participants who have outstanding contributions can register for the Rehab program via the Mobile JKN application and/or BPJS Kesehatan Care Center 165. In the Mobile JKN application, participants can select the Staged Payment Plan menu.
On the menu will appear information related to the month and total amount of arrears, where participants can choose the maximum payment stage period during one program cycle is 12 months. Registration for the Rehab program can be done until the 28th of the current month except February until the 27th.
"Basically, the REHAB program aims to ease the burden on participants who have outstanding contributions. Participants who will make payments in stages can pay in installments with a payment scheme according to their ability, a maximum payment scheme with a settlement period of 12 months. So, I hope that participants who have outstanding contributions will be greatly helped by this Rehab program," concluded Dina. (say/ram)
