Starfruit, (malangkota.go.id) – Having successfully achieved the title of Kelurahan Berseri Madya in 2018, Kelurahan Purwantoro is increasingly enthusiastic about realizing its ideals towards Kelurahan Berseri Mandiri. The presence of the jury for the Kampung Berseri competition from East Java Province has made this largest kelurahan in Malang City even more optimistic, Tuesday (7/6/2022).
Purwantoro Village Head Dwi Cahyono, ST., MT revealed that Purwantoro Village residents have a high sense of togetherness in building and loving the environment wholeheartedly. Many activities in these villages make them optimistic that in 2022 Purwantoro will achieve the Independent Bright Village achievement.
"Purwantoro Village is the largest village in Malang City which has 24 RW and 158 RT with a population of 30.106 people. This village is very compact and united in development," explained Dwi, Dwi Cahyono's nickname.
As a village head, Dwi said that he was greatly helped by the role of the RT/RW heads and their residents in carrying out development. Including now when facing the judging of the 2022 Kelurahan Berseri competition, Purwantoro Village is very ready.
There is a lot of citizen participation in Purwantoro Village, including Waste Bank, TP PKK, Water Conservation Cadres, and Farmer Group Association (Gapoktan). Purwantoro also has Glintung Culture Water Conservation Village in RW 13, Biogas Village and Gapoktan RW 15, Aquarium and Lantern Village in RW 5, Ciliwung Berseri Village in RW 7, Siaga Village, Tangguh Village, and others.
Meanwhile, the Head of Purwantoro Environmental Cadre Ageng Wijaya is also optimistic that this year his area can realize the desire to achieve the achievement of Kelurahan Berseri Mandiri. This cannot be separated from the solidarity of all parties together with the government to love and always care for the environment.
"There are many community potentials in Purwantoro Village. That makes us optimistic that we can realize Purwantoro as a Bright Independent Village," Ageng emphasized.
Head of the East Java Level Kampung Berseri Jury Team, Teguh Prayitno, said that his party came to Purwantoro not just to conduct an assessment. He wanted to match what had been submitted in the competition requirements with the reality on the ground.
"Including we want to see how concerned the community in Purwantoro Village is in playing a role in protecting the environment," said Teguh.
The man who is also the Head of Waste Management at the East Java Provincial Environmental Service admitted that Malang City is indeed a city that has many achievements. He wants in this Kelurahan Berseri competition, Malang City can achieve achievements as an Independent Kelurahan before stepping into an Independent Pembina Kelurahan. (cah/ram)
