Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The presence of the 'Malang City Tour' tourist bus or better known as Macito was enthusiastically welcomed by the community and tourists who came to Malang City. Through this free bus, passengers will tour a number of city streets that have historical value for 40 minutes. Such as Jalan Basuki Rahmat or Kayutangan, Jalan Besar Ijen, Alun-Alun Tugu, and Malang Kota Baru Station.
For those who want to enjoy the tourist bus facility, residents can wait for it on Jalan Majapahit in front of the former office of the Malang City Environmental Service. On Monday-Thursday the bus operates from 09.00 WIB-15.00 WIB and on Saturday-Sunday from 13.00 WIB-20.00 WIB.
In one day, this bus with a capacity of 22 people makes nine trips.
These were some of the things conveyed by the Head of Transportation, Malang City Transportation Agency, Sony Bachtiar on Wednesday (8/6/2022). Since operating in early June, he said, at least around 1.300 people have used the Macito bus facility and the enthusiasm of the residents has been extraordinary.
Referring to this, Sony explained, the Transportation Agency will add one similar bus unit. "The information I received, in the Financial Budget Change (PAK) in the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget Change (P-APBD) this year will be budgeted. The amount of the budget is around Rp1,3 billion. The addition can be more than one bus unit, depending on the PAK later," he added.
Sony further said, with the presence of the Macito bus, it is expected to be able to promote and introduce tourism in Malang City, especially tourism based on historical buildings. From this, it will automatically continue to increase the number of tourist visits to this city," he explained.
